Q3 Board of Directors Meeting

The OSGL Quarter 3 Board of Directors meeting was at Grand Chinese Restaurant in Pearl City. Announcements were made by the chairs of the committee, but you'd have to have attended to hear them. Sorry, but those are the rules! As such, this will be the shortest blog ever, so I apologize for the slightly less than entertaining read...

But as the co-chair of the Public Relations committee along with Chelsea, I have the unique privilege of this platform to forward the PR agenda and what we wanted to do was more socials and activities! So far, we've landed on simple things like mah jong night, cooking demos and recipe sharing, Chinese arts and crafts, UH sports nights, and on more complicated things such as Chinatown cleanups, big events and celebrations in Chinatown, and collaborative activities with other clubs. I would really like to see us get together for more than just lunch next year! The PR committee and I will be working really hard to bring us together and spread our name, for a more prominent and unified presence both within and without the club! If you have anything you'd like to suggest, from speakers at lunches to activities you'd like to see, to venues we can use, leave a comment or use the contact form at the bottom of every page to get in touch!

That said, there's nothing more to report other than our favorite topic: the food! You all ate, and we took notice! The eggplant was gone in the blink of an eye. Ginger chicken was a hit and more ginger sauce had to be ordered, stat! The squid was a new choice that seemed to please. And who didn't eat their veggies??? Lots of you asked, "Where's the shrimp?" and "Why the long line?" Overall, it was a great lunch to cap off the full agenda.

Our next big event is our annual banquet! The Banquet Committee has been hard at work putting this one together so we'll see all 330 of you there at Jade Dynasty in Ala Moana!
